Become a Nursing Assistant (Nurse Aid Aide) immediately by taking this State of Michigan approved, historically proven program. Established in 2008, NMHTS boasts the largest number of successful Northern Michigan graduates to date - 100 classes and counting!  Students are provided an abundance of skills to help them excel in the nursing world!   In a few short weeks, anyone with or WITHOUT experience in the medical or nursing field can begin a career by beginning as a CNA. Effective September 2013 all applicants to RN or LPN nursing programs are now mandated to be CNA trained and certified first before they can be accepted into their programs. Typically experience is needed for any medical field including pre-med (Dr), Physician Assistant (PA), etc. Taking this course is the perfect way to get ahead with a job that is in constant demand locally and nationally. An excellent, fast and cost-effective way to decide if the medical/nursing field is for you is to become a CNA and open the doors to the discovery of all that awaits you!  Working in this field is hard work but the rewards are endless: emotionally, financially, physically and spiritually. One of the few requirements is simply the desire to help people and want to make a difference both for yourself and others. This program will teach you everything you need to know to become a CNA including classroom instruction, hands-on learning and on-site clinical experience in real life situations.

Be eligible for hire the day of completion from this exceptional State of Michigan approved program and change your life!   NMHTS provides assistance with job placement and in-depth knowledge this field can contain. Employment possibilities are limitless from working in nursing homes, assisted living, home care, hospice, offices and much more. Pay rate for a CNA in Northern Michigan ranges from mid $11-$15 per hour! Job opportunities are endless and much in demand.  Most nursing homes and other facilities will reimburse the cost of class!

The textbook and all supplies needed for the class will be provided within the cost of the program.  This includes use of a Blood pressure cuff, stethoscope and gait belt.  Students will wear a turquoise scrub top (provided) with black scrub pants for clinicals.

A recent TB test, also known as a Mantoux skin test, is required (dated within the past year) in order to attend clinicals; this will be discussed in class and an opportunity to receive it on site will be provided.

All of above information will be reviewed and questions will be answered during class.  For the classroom students may wear clothing of their choice and are encouraged to bring food and drinks if they desire.  Breaks and lunch are taken during classes.
